Monikansallisessa GenerIoT-hankkeessa uusia IoT-mahdollisuuksia selvittävät Loopshoren lisäksi lähes 20 partneria. Yritykset Suomesta, Itävallasta, Portugalista ja Saksasta tutkivat mm. teknologioiden edellytyksiä toimia yhdessä. Suomesta mukana ovat yhteistyökumppaneina: Grandlund, Tampere University, Suomen Tekojää, Nobody Engineering, Tietoevry ja Unikie.
Dataa keräävien laitteiden ja ohjelmistokokonaisuuksien tulee olla ajantasaisia, myös tietoturvan osalta. Yhteistyössä syntyvät kokonaisuudet ja yhteysverkostot mahdollistavat räätälöinnin käyttäjän tarpeen mukaan, jo olemassaolevilla laitteilla ja teknologioilla. Tämä taas vaatii myös organisiaatiotasolla nopeita toimia. Generiot-hankkeessa tuodaan yhteen eri teknologioita ja luodaan siten uusia mahdollisuuksia IoT-maailmaan. Hanketta tukee Business Finland. GenerIoT-hanke päättyy vuonna 2025.

Generating and Deploying Lightweight, Secure and Zero-overhead Software for Multipurpose IoT Devices
Distributed hardware/software systems (often interconnected via the internet) which gather information via sensors and influence the environment via actors must be up to date, especially with regard to security. Additionally, connectivity offers the opportunity to adjust in-field systems to user needs. This requires an efficient development flow enabling short development cycles.
GenerIoT will provide new technologies and processing steps in order to simplify and speed up the handling of IoT software over the complete DevOps cycle. The approach proposed by GenerIoT will open new business opportunities: IoT apps. Generiot project ends in 2025.
